oversoul essence drop rate....
why replacing random exotic drop with quest and then make the quest progress rng??? make it at least a guaranteed drop at crota or something

1 RispondiBump ^ the drop rate is most likely bugged right now cuz the drop rate is truly -blam!- ! at the moment and if it isn’t bugged Bungie need to make it guaranteed to drop from every encounter across all chars for all looted clears, And they should also increase the drop rate for non looted clears and make it easier to farm cuz not everyone have the time to play 3 hours + of Destiny 2 everyday cuz of work and school and it’s stupid when you have to farm a heavily rng resource with abysmal drop rate.

6 RisposteIt's pretty much guaranteed to drop weekly it appears.. It's fine. progression based over time. I prefer this over random RNG exotic drops.

5 RisposteIf Bungie does nothing else to the current drop rate, what they SHOULD do, at the very least, is make one guaranteed essence drop from the red border chest, just like how we get a guaranteed red border every week from it. If nothing else, that way we know that even if someone gets the absolute worst RNG and doesn't get a random essence drop at all, they can still get the gun in 20 weeks for sure. I think running a raid for 20 weeks should definitely give you the exotic from that raid, doesn't feel like much to ask for. Bu in general, I definitely would not mind if Bungie increased the drop rate.

8 RisposteThis is why I'm always against quest raid exotics. Bungie has a habit of doing something that makes them incredibly frustrating and grindy. At least with rng exotics I can just jump into the final check points and get my 3 weekly clears instead of being forced to farm the whole raid every week

I do think now the drop rate is kinda low or the catalyst completion should just require X amount of full run clears. I have 12 but the last 2 full raids and 4 Crota boss clears have netted me 0 more. Kinda weak but it's just Outlaw on a gun with a 76 reload speed. Feels almost like outlaw with a Kinetic reloader on anyway. At least I have the gun.

If I can't get a group to do the triumphs for half of them, I'll be at this for 8 more weeks, assuming I get 2 every week after since while it's supposedly farmable, the chances of getting any plummet after your first 2-3 or completion for that week on that account. I'd rather have it be RNG like Vex, at least I haven't had to do more than 12 completions for any raid exotic since D1. What was the point of giving us a quest that will guarantee the weapon if the completion of the quest relies more on triumphs to get over half the work done and still has a stronger RNG presence than any other raid?

Honestly not quest, its just same rng as with all other weaps.

As someone who got Touch on my 1st clear, this move sucks. Overall, it is a change for the better. The player has a choice if they want to grind rather than rely entirely on RNG.

Should at least get one per Crota clear, even if that means you have to clear Crota 20 times, you should probably earn the exotic by then lol

Took me 40 GOTD Runs and a solo Flawless just to get the Navigator.

8 clears in, and with the triumphs, im sitting at 10. Not bad, but the grind reminds me of D1 more a waste of time than anything.

3 RisposteI feel like half of you people never played D1. Remember when the exotic swords quests came out in Taken King. It took me days to farm materials from Mars especially on hunter when they disabled Tether because it was broken. Same thing for vex, crux of Crota, etc. The exotic bounties that give you Thorn, you had to get void kills in crucible which was annoying but worth at the end. If you play all 3 classes every week doing the raid, you should have Necro way before this current season ends.

4 RisposteIf you have unlimited chances, I don't see the problem especially running Crota that most will know how to run in no time at all. You couldn't farm raids in D1 so think about that before you start complaining about "drop rates". It took 9 months before I got Icebreaker and I had to buy it from Xur because of the RNG in D1, but not once did I come on this forum and complain about "not getting what I wanted" because of the RNG. You guys are worse than the D1 players and this is no joke either. BFD if it's not dropping like you people want. All of you should know by now how this business works, and if you don't, that is literally on you. The problem is you guys wanted things yesterday and it's gotten worse with a lot of you these last couple of years. Think about this, Things can always be worse, you could be dealing with what I have to deal with in Waframe. I have to log in 365 times before I can get a mod to finish a build on a frame. So stop your complaining about petty BS.

15 RisposteI have 6 oversoul essence and I only play on my Warlock…. If you are playing 3 classes and doing challenges, then you will probably be done in two weeks tops.

Raid just came out, it's not going anywhere, so you have plenty of time to get as many as you need.
