I doubt this gets any attention but here's my thoughts on comp currently. Hopefully can handle some constructive criticism. First was there supposed to be a revamp to the point system to comp? It feels even worse. I get plus 5-20 points and lose 200+ every. single. game. How am i expected to go on a 45 win streak of +20 points a game to climb ONE RANK. Please answer that one on a broadcast. Not to mention the CONSTANT solo vs 3 MANS (which apparently is never supposed to happen btw), Xim users, MnK on consoles, blatant cheaters, throwers, or ABSURD lack of team balancing (nice SBMM algorithm btw). There's no reward. It feels genuinely impossible to rank up. You end up fighting the game and not the other team. There's not even a tie to elo or rank or performance. Is pvp now RNG?! I thought ranks increase with skill and performance? Guess not? So WTF is the point of comp if it's not even a rank system?! It's just discouraging players from ever playing comp. It's why the player base is ABISMAL. The game says you will stay here at this rank no matter what and you can't do a damn thing about it. You win 3 games with a 5 KD? GREAT! Plus 5 points every game. Oh you lost 1 game with a 5 KD? Minus 240 points! Now i know KD is not thee metric to use and other things like damage, super efficiency, assists etc SHOULD impact points but this is a certified bungie moment -_- again. It's SUCH an EASY fix that it is laughable and embarrassing. Ranked system. Match with your ranks and close to seasonal or overall K/D y'know like EVERY OTHER RANKED GAME TO EVER EXIST. I hope bungie can take some responsibility for a change and that the pvp strike team (if it even exists) can get a quick revamp to the point system even though it would take not even a day to fix. Apologies for my rant but something needs to be done.
