Good attitude. Forums is not always a good place for that though. It's a bit overrun by haters who apparently have a ton of time to waste complaining about this game on its own forums instead of finding something better to do since they apparently hate it so much 🤔 it's kind of funny actually. The Fireteam finder section of the app is pretty useful for that though.

Byf, myelin, or evade probably have summary vids of the entire story up to lightfall. You could also check out the timeline on the ishtar collective website. Don't listen to the forum rats. Play and enjoy what you want.

You are returning at a bad time, best avoid the game before you get sucked in. Destiny 2 has become a cash cow for their new games.

Good luck the glory days of D1 are gone the children from D1 grew up into spoiled brats who want to solo everything talk to no one and want everything handed to them with zero effort. When bungie gives them what they want they -blam!- & moan about it not being difficult enough. So bungie ramps up the difficulty. They complain it is too hard & then don't play it. Frankly that whole generation has ruined what was once a great game.
