Permanent ban for inappropriate name?
So I have a friend of mine who just got a permanent ban because of a inappropriate name, I don't thing an inappropriate name should be reason of such a heavy punishment, anyways, weren't they changing those names to Guardianxxxx (x=random number)?
After my friend investing a lot of money in dlc's and time in the game for YEARS I don't think this should be the way this type of problem should be treated when you can still find some hackers out there without receiving a ban...
Anyways this is bungo I guess.
I hope this can get to someone and help him out to get unbanned because it really feels bad to get permanently restricted for a bad decision about his name after wasting all the money this game wants you to waste in it to able to play.
Don't we all make mistakes and deserve second opportunities bungie?

Bans can be issued for names, however it is extremely unlikely. What is more likely is they did something on the list here: https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049517431-Destiny-Account-Restrictions-and-Banning-Policies They can submit a ban appeal here: https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049024492-Contact-Form-Appeal-Ban-or-Restriction Reponses aren't guaranteed with the appeal, if they do get unbanned/bungie want more info they'll get an email. If ~2 weeks go by and they dont hear back their ban is being considered justified and wont be lifted.

With a name like that…of course he’s gonna get banned. What was he thinking (or was he even thinking)? No help for him. Stuff like that isn’t welcome in this community/game.
