Playlist cosmetics represent investment of gametime, not investment of skill or a genuine reward for difficult task. These types of rewards are nice and get me to play activities that I normally wouldn't - but Bungie is losing out on guaranteed play time by locking these type of cosmetics in the vault. From what I understand, these shaders will not be available from the eververse store at any point either. Something to entice the investment team at Bungie as well: I would certainly be willing to pay a bright dust premium on vaulted cosmetics. For example: 1 gambit memento and 600 bright dust for a guaranteed way to obtain gambit jadestone. I just know that I'll 100% play gambit if I have a guaranteed route to acquire cosmetics from previous seasons. Last season I unlocked Gambit Nephrite but forgot to purchase it from Drifter and I am slowly losing my sanity, I really liked that shader and am totally kicking myself for forgetting to pick it up from drifter. The cosmetic grind is the endgame, empower players' ability to reach back and obtain playlist activity cosmetics.
