There is a seasonal challenge called “Shattered Blade Master” listed under week 8. It says, “Defeat combatants with swords in the Shattered Realm activity. Defeating powerful combatants grants bonus progress.” Now you may or may not already know this or you may have figured it out by now but it is possible to complete this seasonal challenge outside of the Shattered Realm activity. I’ve only known it to gain progress for one other activity and that is Gambit. For some reason when ever you kill combatants with a sword in Gambit you will gain progress towards this seasonal challenge thus making this seasonal challenge possible to complete for free to play players who don’t have access to the Shattered Realm activity. So equip your sword ammo mods and hop into Gambit and kill combatants with your sword. Note: I completed this challenge months ago so there’s no guarantee it may still work depending on whether or not Bungie has patched it or not.
