TL;DR - Disable Steam Overlay Library -> Collections ->Destiny 2 -> Properties -> General ->Very first thing Ever since the anniversary update for Destiny 2 i've had terrible framerates to the point the nvidia control panel told me to lower my display resolution to less that 1400. I've tried most, if not all, usual ways of dealing with this. -I uninstalled and reinstalled the game -Cleared the cache -deleted the files in %appdata% -uninstalled and reinstalled all Nvidia drivers -Changed text file latency value from 1 to 0 Nothing worked. Before the update I would regularly get 120+ FPS on high settings, after that I was lucky if I got 80. Just trying out of the blue i disabled the Steam overlay and my game started running like it did before. I didn't think about it at first cause with the steam overlay on before i never had problems. Hopefully Bungie or Steam fix this in the future but until now this was the only thing that worked for me.
