Can we please change our guardians' appearance after creation?
I know this isn't really a serious issue for the game right now and there's a very plain workaround for a lack of re-customisation if you're not sentimental (though I think many players are), but not having the ability to change a character's race/gender/facial features after creation has been a long-standing nagging pain point throughout this whole franchise's lifespan. Having to vault everything, manually delete a character, and start over from scratch is an irritating inconvenience and an oddly long way to have to go just to change a character's appearance. It's like trying to use a massive cinder block just to hammer a single nail.
The desire for this feature got even stronger following the launch of Beyond Light when character facial features were altered slightly as a side effect of the updated coding behind facial customisation. I imagine there's a ton of players out there, myself included, who are dissatisfied with their guardians' updated 'new' looks following these game engine changes and want to be able to tweak things without deleting characters we've invested hundreds of hours into.
Personally I think this is a feature that should've been in the first Destiny AND Destiny 2 from launch, and I've always been holding out hope that [b]*some day*[/b] this might actually be implemented.

I'd never change my warlock. She has been the same since 2014, and always will be exactly as she is.

Would be nice, but sadly 😥 the Dev's are to busy smoking weed 🚬 and designing stupid looking armor sets, ships and sparrows! Which I thing should be called speeders.

I recreated my hunter because I didn't like her face, and you know the most painful part of it all? [spoiler]I have to watch Cayde die all over again because my Forsaken campaign reset on that character.[/spoiler]

1 RispondiI would really appreciate a editable character screen after the initial creation. Especially seeing as Bungie is going in the direction of your sublass being locked behind hours of sidequests, expansion story levels, and all that(as evident by BL). Before Beyond Light, yeah sure it was nothing to vault stuff delete and restart cause you have all your subclass stuff right away upon creation. But now, if I were to redo my Hunter I'd have to replay the Beyond Light campaign, and redo all the side steps to get my aspects back. I really don't want to do that. Just no. So if Bungie continues with the aspects/fragments way of doing things then yeah I really think we need a recustomizable character option. Saves so much time waisted on replaying stuff just to get the characters back to where they were.

Heck, at least let us change our hair style or color. That should be a given, even at the cost of bright dust (to pay the tower barber/stylists)

They will and you will have to grind 4 types of compounding currency to do so or buy it with silver... sound familiar when wanting to change appearances?

1 RispondiI really hope we do get this feature someday... my Hunter is an awoken female, and she is such a miserable looking cow, I'd change it if i could. She looks like she'd kill me in my sleep! :)

Should it have been in the game at launch? Absolutely. Idk why anybody wouldn't other than bungie. Restricting more than just our intake of content. Granted i don't intend that to be negative towards bungie. Just blunt constructive criticism. They "appear" to want destiny to be a mmo, but don't treat it like one. Bungie to me has always cared, be it for simple things like character costimization, or complex odds and ends like taken king, forsakken, and menagerie. Their biggest flaw to me, sometimes they don't know " how" to care about what they want. Until they " consistently" do so, ask for the bigger changes first, like a solution to content vaulting, the current 6 month long season that will have a content drought, or more. Those are just my thoughts though.

1 RispondiI'm sure Bungle has "Top Men" working on it. Likely the hold up is figuring out an easy way (for them) to monetize this so that you have to jump though a tonne of hoops (i.e extending your play time via Bounties and running hundreds of Strikes, Crucible or Gambit matches) using only existing assets and then once a Season you will earn the Right to change your Guardian appearance - within Gender Fluent Non -blam!- limits enforced by Bungle - for Silver.
