Its because you are most likely missing api-ms-win-core-path-l1-1-0.dll file. The empty space in the error message is a bug of BattleEye anti-cheat that incorrectly translates the error. You can check if you have the file in System32 and SysWOW64 folders. If you don't, download them from any site you trust and put them in the aforementioned folders. Fixed the error for me.
