When you invading and jump into one of the portals that helps you navigate through map (usually on left and right sides, sorry I don't know how you call 'em) on a last seconds (1 or nearly 0) instead of returning to your team you stay there for a moment till you got killed. And most important! Opposite team does not aware of you. No messages, no red UI on a screen and you (as invader) don't have red mark on your character. Coss from what I saw players most of the time (I faced them in close proximity) doesn't attack me till I do. I notice even a delay after I hit 'em like might be a true they do see you as ally. 1 more thing I forget to mention. When the time is right to do another invasion your team mate can enter too. P.S. 1 invasion 10 kills. I was in rush and screaming in mic like crazy to my team that I didn't pulled back. Speaking of kills. It's just a prove that opposite players at least doesn't see you as enemy. I only guessing how it looks from their perspective. I chase them with my smg stayed very close. They shoot at me AFTER I did.
