Sniper Scopes Different Brightness - Blinding light
Why is this a thing? Can barley snipe with Borealis because of this.
Is it my screen? Is it some settings? (Tried sort of everything really)
Borealis - Worst change (Very Bright at distance)
Beloved - Bad
Revoker - Bad
Distand Tumulus - Sorta ok
Ikelos and Izinagi - Good (No change in brightness)

Still no solution or even acknowledgement of this issue 2 and a half years later. Crazy. I guess bungie was happy to implement ultrawide support and turn a blind eye to its issues

Still iso a solution. I went to crafted the new raid sniper and the brightness correction is awful on that one as well. Feels bad.

Its not consistent between snipers. I think the scopes with solid black around the vision are the worst like whisper and adored. Its consistent on all 32:9 aspect ratio monitors.

Has there been a fix for this? I am also having issues where the sniper scope is completely blown out. I'm on a Samsung G9 ultrawide as well. I don't have this problem when I am in 2560x1440 windowed mode (but I would like to be able to use the whole monitor).

I have the same issue and my friends haven't. I thought I was mad but after I saw your post I understood why it's happening: we play in ultrawide. The game (badly) adjusts brightness based on the amount of dark/light on the screen. Because we play in UW, we get a lot of dark on the edges. The reason Borealis is worse is because it's all black around it. The Ikelos scope is thinner and you can see the world around it.
