Can we please bring factions back?
I remember from a twab or blog post a while back that mentioned the reason factions weren't coming back at the moment was because the list of characters/vendors had become too long, and was potentially too much for new lights to handle.
Well, with the DCV, we will be losing [b][i][u]8[/u][/i][/b] vendors. So surely we have the room to bring back the 3 faction vendors, right?
And I'm not talking about rallies or other events. I'm talking Destiny 1 style faction vendors. They have a set of rotating bounties/tasks that allow us to rank up and earn faction gear. They could even add some avenues for plot development through seasonal quests that tie in thematically. And moving faction gear back to its respective loot pool would be better than having it randomly drop from the world loot pool.

Why would we want the 3 evils? Dead orbit aka space emos want to amass a large fleet and abandon the earth and the traveler because as far as they are concerned... Its a lost cause. New monarchy aka the 5th reich. Want to take over and remove the speaker... He may be dead but they wish to rule over everyone and that's a no no. Hitler failed and they will too. Future war cult aka time monks that sacrifice people for God knows why and peer into the future or past to see what occurs. Basically a worse version of the vex. Time issues happen as is apparent by the no time to explain pulse rifle. What do we have now? Divided vanguard that want to keep the traveler and last city safe and defended. Not giving up at all. The drifter and the new dredgens. The amount of people who sided with him was disturbing. He is basically and obviously evil and eris needs to just kill him with hive vodoo already.

If bungie did a complete overhaul of fractions! If not it's just going to be more grind for not much loot. It was tedious last time.

They could implement bounties for them in a manner like they did for the Prismatic Recaster.

They don't have the manpower for it. They can say what they want but the truth is it's just more work which would provide almost no extra revenue.

They simply don’t want to make the items. Them saying that vendors who were in the world, left with no explanation, came back with no explanation and left again with no explanation completely kills their “ it’s part of the story “ bs excuse. They simply don’t want to add them for work purposes

1 RispondiI feel that at this point in the plot, factions aren't ready to come back. It seems we are on the brink of a second collapse (or some version of it) and the Last City is scared and kind of scattered. I don't think it would make sense for Factions leaders to rally behind Guardians as vendors and allies when they potentially failed to protect the solar system and are now using the Darkness. However, you are right. We are loosing several vendors (although gaining potentially a few on Europa), it would be nice to have some new ones at the tower. I think this is something that could be implemented later in Year 4 or in Year 5. Factions could rally back together (or new Factions could form that believe in the Darkness) and could attempt to assist Guardians by providing bounties, armor, and weapons. In the end, I think factions need to wait...but they could be implemented in an interesting way down the line.

1 RispondiAgreed! Let me grind my new Monarchy Titan Mark with "The Life Exotic" again and get a cool ass ship that comes with the grind. Hell maybe some faction "Chroma" to buy with tokens for the faction armor sets. Please Bungie. I miss this little bit of side content that let me grind out rep without having to feel rushed in a 1 week event.

I dont see why anyone would be against this tbh, adding more content (that was there in the first place ) rather than being happy with less.
