Was getting the exact same amount of progress per lost sector run in maybe a third of the time it would've taken per adventure. Certainly preferable to doing one of the three Crucible modes I don't consider fun to get progress. Have a similar issue with the lackluster Escalation Protocol progress for Interference. Feels more time-efficient to do any other activity. Which sucks for that week too because I'd rather do EP than Gambit...
