So every year during the spoopy seasons we get festival of the lost a nice way for us to partake in a one a year event "the haunted forest" this event has sadly lost its luster during the games runtime and during some gametime i thought of 2 ideas that I think is a good fresh take on the season. What if (with rasputins aid) we have a proper horde mode like a certain tripple a franchise. Picture a dark delapodated sereph bunker with rasputins power he could animate nearby cadavers of dead enemies with siva (the magical nanites of doom.) The reason behind this event could be like rasputins way of getting us trained or just to get our adrenalin flowing. It would be a nice refreshing take for this event altho I am abit ify on the specifics of this event but for the rules of the game would have to be something like survive to 20 rounds with increasing difficulties, fallen should be fast zombies who are weak where cabal should be slow and really tanky (Finer details pending.) The other idea I had was to have a pvp mode instead of pve. So how it would go is that the map would be completely dark, so a flashlight zone. 1-2 swords will spawn and whoever get to it first becomes the swordbrarer who will earn points by killing the other guardians, with this sword they will obtain a speed and health buff for the ammo duration like team scorched but if they die all other guardians earn a point. For balancing reasons id say make the sword detonate like a thrall when its timer runs out as to prevent camping (this explosion kills others for points towards the sworbearer.) and one final balancing idea is to spawn in an invincable darkblade during the last minute of the game to help any last place swordbearers earn points. I think these both should be given a chance by bungie and maybe add some more fear to festival of the lost but I wanna know others thoughts and ideas below.
