I always look forward to this event, but it has me wondering. In a festival built around remembering those we have lost, why aren't we celebrating the memories of the lost? Where is the Cayde mask? The speaker mask? What about the others that are gone? Important figures of lore? Why are we wearing masks of characters that are still with us to celebrate and remember those that have been lost? Instead of the forest, what about reenacting past battles? Replaying moments where important figures fell? This could be a way to tell their stories, celebrate their sacrifices, their lives and actually "remember" them. 🤷‍♂️ Just a tower thought, I guess.
