Man I I miss just sitting in orbit listing to the music, and laughing with my friends. Next day at school we’d talk about getting home and trying to get past Skolas, before enemy deployment was health based. I miss playing solo, and just exploring the cosmodrome for the umpteenth time. I miss the crack of my old guns, and the “one man army” moments in PvP. Destiny was my escape for so long, and now everything feels stagnant. While the lore has become so much more complex, the actual gameplay feels left behind. I know that everything wasn’t peachy back in the day, but at least the actual gameplay felt more fluid. I enjoyed exploring character builds, and testing out new guns. I’d often role-play in my head while running through strikes. Now strikes feel like a slog fest, and painful to do more then three in a row. The cosmetic change also left me with a disconnected feeling from the Destiny universe. I miss Destiny, but I’m also hoping that D3 can bring back the fun now that Bungie is free to determine their own fate.
