Let’s face it, we are all turds
In the beginning of earth.. someone in an advanced society, probably on mars or some crud, thought it would be a harmless prank to take a dump on a rock and throw it into space with their cybernetic arm thingy that they got for their 400th birthday.
That astroid made its way to earth and the bacteria on that rock spread like wild fire creating the Giant Lizard People and the Giant Insect People who fought for centuries. Until one day, they decide to love each other and had a baby named Jesus. And the rest is history.
Maybe it was Tom? Whatever.. The point is...
