In D1 you needed exotic shards, which were harder to get

Um what are you talking about? That was only for exotic weapons and armor and it brought any year 1 gear to year 2... bet you didn’t count on someone who actually played destiny 1 to reply did ya?

Still though, you were usually infusing an exotic weapon or exotic armor piece And it was problematic if Xur wasn't there.

But the bringing it to year 2 was not bad as once you brought it to year 2 version it STAYED year 2 forever and you could from then on get its year 2 version from the collections. For like 1 exotic shard is all it took to infuse just 1. And a fully upgraded exotic of any type had a 100% dismantle of 2 shards and a regular had a 100% dismantle if 1 shard. And not only that but xur sold them for like 7 strange coins which was not a lot at all. Their was no problem with the currency for exotic shards and their was never a drought for obtaining them.

There is no drought for enhancement cores,if you do your weekly activities you will have plenty without even trying In a week I had 158 to prepare for the level increase
