I play many games and I don't have this problem in them. I have a 65" Plasma TV and I sit in an optimally placed chair in front of it. I find it very hard to make out important text in this game. For example, in the Vault encounter, important information is displayed in the lower left corner of the screen. I have to move my view around in order to make it out sometimes. Another example is in Crucible, or when you just want to inspect a player to see what they are wearing, it can be very difficult to read their names. I don't think the reasons should be relevant, though. I think it is important that the information displayed on the screen be legible. A simple black outline around the characters would probably help a lot.
