Kills for Vigilance Wings catalyst aren't properly registered. I am dead sure about this. In one match, I did 19 kills: 5 with supers, 2 with grenade launchers, 1 with melee, 2 with shotgun, 9 with the Vigilance Wings. Only 2 got registered on the cat. Next match was even worse. I only did one super kill, all the others with the Vigilance wings. Less than half of the VW kills got registered on the catalyst. GJ Bunghole, again! Edit: I think that only critical kills are counted. Which is re-tar-ded, because the catalyst text simply says "defeat enemies in the crucible".
