I'm just saying that broadcasting news of a suicide can sometimes have an unintended effect on those who are already contemplating or are on the brink of committing suicide, depending on how the information is shared. If the information is intentionally or unintentionally sensationalized or romanticized, or glorifies the victim, it can be a trigger for others. Publicized suicides can serve as a trigger, especially if the person on the brink does not have sources of social or emotional support. I think dmg's response was appropriate as he provided a compassionate reply and posted resources for those who may be in need of such help, or for those who know someone who is struggling.
