I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. May you, your friends, his family, and his friends find peace in the grieving period. And for the folk who are like "don't post this, suicide trigger" this post very well could also save someone from doing it as well. There's two sides to the coin. Just cause it triggers you, it could save someone else. I nearly did the same thing a few months back. Had a plan too. I picked up my kitten to say good bye and she nuzzled my face and was purring and I thought, I can't leave her. I can't leave my wife, my step daughter, my cats. So I made a few phone calls, and got help. My point is, not everyone is the same. Because this may tilt you, it could also save someone by giving them the direction they need for help.

  • Yes, mourn people who kill themselves out of stupid impulse.

  • Clearly you have no idea how depression and PTSD work. Here's alittle help. Have you ever felt bad? Have you ever felt like you're a burden to those around you? Have you have had that thought nag at you day after day, week after week, month after month? Have you ever felt that your friends and family would be better without you? That if you just packed up and left, they'd be better? I'm guessing your not cause your ignorance is showing. My post wasn't mourning. My post was sharing an experience to highlight that there are two sides to everything. My post was sharing a personal experience. Your ignorance here is further proving my point. That this post may tilt some, but it still may save others.

  • You're probably a 10 year old little kid that hasn't experienced anything in life. You probably haven't had any friends commit suicide for reasons you're not sure of. You probably haven't seen people that look happy on the outside but are dying slowly on the inside. You probably haven't seen the silent types that think "well... what if" every day. You just need to delete your comment and get the -blam!- off the forums kid, because you know nothing.

I am just stating the truth. If you think that is horrible thing to say, then you just want to say it.

  • Thank you, I appreciate it. Things are going a little better. Going to therapy, working on a medication that works for me (wellbutrin seems to doing the trick and it's also used to quit smoking). The clouds still there, always has been, always will be, but at least I have an umbrella. And that's somethin, ya know? Thank you again.

  • The only other anti depressant I tried was Zoloft and it made me tired all the time. I'd wake up after 10 hours of sleep and still be tired. I fell asleep in a meeting at work (luckily HR knew I was on medication so I didn't get written up) and was like, "I need something, I can't be falling asleep like that."
