Give our year one Iron banner, raid, E.P., and Solstice Armor random perks
We worked our asses off to get all of that armor, the ornaments for them, AND making them masterwork. And after all that hard work, it was all made obsolete.
Seriously Bungie, throw us a bone here.

I imagine the reason they won’t is because they will repackage all of that for Destiny 3 and make you earn it again. Seriously though, that is a shame that they let everyone’s hard work go to waste AGAIN. I’ve learned my lesson though and if I chose to play Destiny 3 I would wait until the full collection went on sale to purchase it because this company wastes everyone’s time who plays things at launch/release.

1 RispondiCouldn’t agree more. I’d love to rock my Solstice armor again, I only had it fully upgraded for 2 weeks before it became irrelevant.

Expect all abandoned year 1 items to make a return when the player base is dwindling. Fate bringer didn’t come back until there were 6 months or so until d2 was out. They can easily do this, but won’t because they want longevity.

Or at least make it so we can apply some of the more basic perks like heavy ammo flinch resistance and things of the sort.

1 RispondiYeah, I’m not a fan of Bungie making almost all of Year 1’s armor obsolete, especially since a lot of those armor sets looked awesome. Why would someone intentionally do this in a loot based game?

I agree! I didn’t finish my Yuga Sundown set until after Forsaken dropped! Now I can’t even use it. :/

1 RispondiI finally got the EP armor set for the titan... And it's useless to me now. Thought they would learn from the past few years and expansion releases to not making old content useless and only giving a little new to fill the useable loot pool.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm very attached to my Flawless Trials armor with the Prestige Ornaments unlocked, same for my Optimacy robes. Been using them both, still, since Forsaken came out. The armor perks are barely noticable to me, only exception to me is Unflinching perks in PvP and you can still put mods on Y1 armor, so.. Am pretty annoyed that you can't apply mods to Year 1 weapons, though.

Yes. But I don’t understand why our armor ornaments from iron banner can’t just carry over. If you had year 1 armor, season 2 and/or 3 ornaments then you can slap them badboys on year 2 armor! Then we can start working on new ornaments for season 5. This way we didn’t lose anything, we can chase specific rolls on armor and can mix and match some badass crazy IB sets. Really seems like a missed chance considering the ornaments and IB gear from Y1 were wayyyyyy better than Y2 base imo.

Not only did they make a large chunk of Y1 gear unobtainable now, they've basically gimped the stuff that players already earned in Y1 by making Y2 stuff so much better. Basically a big fat middle finger to the players.
