There is clear over representation whenever romantic involvement is discussed. I don't have any issue with it. I just find it curious.

I agree. No problem with them doing this, just don’t make it literally the only thing that’s represented. Aside from Cayde’s pre-Exo life, I don’t think there’s ever been any straight characters, though I could be wrong, I just can’t think of any.

I just want to see at least one straight couple between Guardians, imagine the lore that could be created around that

The Crimson Days Grimoire card talks about two Guardians, a Male Warlock and a Female Hunter, creating a close bond on the battlefield while fighting the Cabal. They don't become a "couple" per say, but it was for the Valentine's day event, it says they became a permanent fireteam afterwords, and that they share their riches and renown together. That's the only straight couple in Destiny, that I know of at least
