Yes, as long as it had no bearing on the story. I don't care who someone is dating or what their sexuality is as long as it has no bearing or impact on the story. The same is true in reality. If I don't need to know then why make a point of it? It's not a joke or a funny story. For the same reason I don't need to know how many bowel movements you've had so far today. Btw, that's a joke, but it's also true. War story: Had a dude inform me once that the temp was 126 degrees (Fahrenheit) although I never asked. I did however, realize it was hot since it was always about that hot in Iraq at that time of the year, in that location as everyone knew. That said, I thanked him nevertheless. I also instructed him to keep me informed of the current OAT every hour, on the dot, for the next 24 hrs. Which he dutifully did. That said, it was the least of his problems for a day or so afterwards, since everyone had great fun at his expense. Hell, even he liked all the attention. That sort of thing was commonplace and always entertaining. Just so you know where I'm coming from with regard to such things.
