I think they same could be down with a sword. Just dont let it one shot guardians. The idea is to have an alternative weapon you can use in PvE and PvP. The rampage and iron will perks will alow you to not get beat up constantly in PvE since you are at a disadvantage. The half sword perk may be optional, but i thought it might be nice to have and gap closer.
