No you haven't accomplished anything before. You used to do public events and get free loot from the clan thats why you were high light. It has been mentioned again and again this is not a game designed for solo play and you need a fireteam to finish end game. You are frustrated because it actually takes work and communicating with others now to get higher light. Also, matchmaking was proved to be a bad idea in this DLC. Heroic strikes proved that the system will not work for end game as anyone will join and rage quit easy because the content is too hard. At this point you have two solutions, either work on your social anxiety, or drop the game completely and play games that cater to your anti-social needs.
