Destiny does not work without the D1 weapon system.
Admit it Bungie.
Your stupid two primary system experiment failed and did nothing but make all your activities boring and tedious as hell.
Your game is missing a lot of stuff from Destiny 1, so your game must not be ready for release?
I mean your primaries are not that special, like what is the point of having a primary primary, and an energy primary?
I just want to kill groups of fallen with a shotgun and have to worry about it running out on me.
I just feel like I can't take it.

Giving D2 the original weapon system is turning D2 into something it isn’t. It wouldn’t work with D1’s weapon system, you’d far too often be scrambling for primary ammo and get through everything way too easily.
