I really did love these games. I poured more hours into D1 than I should admit, and I genuinely enjoyed D2's content (limited as it was). Mechanically it was fantastic, the story (and yes there is a story) is well crafted, and I wanted to see it continue . But whoever is running the show for Activision and Bungie is either grossly incompetent or willfully destroying what they've built. I could go into detail as to why, but if you're here you've seen why. All I can say is that D2 is going on the shelf to collect dust. I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed. I hope the development team that wanted this to be a good game and truly loves what they do can move on to make other great games. And I hope the people who let greed be the main design point end up jobless and ashamed of who they are.
