As this would fundamentally affect the player characters then there would need to be an ability to alter our existing choices. For example had I known being Awoken would have affected intelligence then I may / may not have selected that as my character type. We should never be locked into a character affecting ability/stat when information on it wasn't available at the time of our decision.
