I'm glad D2 did away with random rolls on weapons from D1
As several people keep voicing their desire for the random rolls of weapons from D1, I for one am very happy they went away for D2. I currently enjoy the fact that once I earn that coveted weapon, I know it will be the 'right' roll. With the addition of masterworks, I think that gives a small degree of customizability that will not change the weapon significantly but can mean a lot to those that enjoy the pleasure of min-maxing...

I think Masterworks are basically a way to add something to the duplicate loot situation. Its a bandaid of sorts, but not bad. But yeah, I couldn't agree more. Its already randomized which loot you receive, we don't need even more RNG with what the perks are.
