I'm glad D2 did away with random rolls on weapons from D1
As several people keep voicing their desire for the random rolls of weapons from D1, I for one am very happy they went away for D2. I currently enjoy the fact that once I earn that coveted weapon, I know it will be the 'right' roll. With the addition of masterworks, I think that gives a small degree of customizability that will not change the weapon significantly but can mean a lot to those that enjoy the pleasure of min-maxing...

Random rolls = Most, if not all, weapons can be made good. Set rolls = A few weapons will be good while the rest will always be bad. Some people don't like grinding, but that's why I, along with many others, play loot based games.
