I'm somewhere in the middle of this argument. I love Destiny and still enjoy playing D2 but i'm also finding myself feeling like I've already got nothing to play the game for after barely two months and have started messing about with Fortnite and Warframe. the first time i played another game other than D1 for any reason other than my internet being down was shortly after the spring update in TTK where all they did was reintroduce PoE and up the light level. that was roughly 20 months.
