Do you seriously expect us to individually whisper everyone in our clan using the clumsy "friend" roster interface? Or the non-functional, in-game clan roster interface? How did you expect people in a clan to communicate in-game? Not having chat channels might fly for console players because typing with a gamepad is obnoxious, but us PC users are accustomed to being able to type to people in-game to communicate. This game, at least on PC, needs a clan chat channel ASAP.
