You really can't expect people to not run performance tuning software on a PC? Isn't this why we own PC's. PC Master race and all.

Cozmo, I'm sorry, but until Bungie actually specifies WHY all these players are being banned, people aren't going to believe you! Because, it definitely LOOKS like Bungie is lying to us. It LOOKS like you're purposefully trying to put blame on the players in order to prevent guilt falling on Bungie.

Coz. I like you man, but just because the Devs say that doesn't make it true. Something unusual is going on, and it really appears that accounts are being robo banned. I've seen people get banned in Destiny, and it's pretty rare to see it on the forums. For all of the "I've been banned posts" I've seen over the last 3 years. I've been able to figure out WHY that person was banned. Today i'm looking out for my PC friends, and they are being robo banned. Something is broken either with Destiny 2 or the Blizzard app. These bans clearly aren't being reviewed by humans, just based on the speed and volume. I've seen ninjas and all sorts of people come here and say that "Bans aren't given out lightly" "We investigate everything thoroughly" I'm sure that was the case.... until now. So call up Vicarious Visions, talk to the dev teams, and please bring back some information we can chew on, because I'm telling you that this doesn't look like a "Not our problem" problem. This is definitely under Bungie's control.

Ok, but that doesn't solve this issue. Your auto ban is not functioning properly. "Permanent account bans are only implemented with rigorous checking to ensure that the innocent are not punished alongside the guilty." Clearly this is a lie.

This is the most ridiculous shit I've ever seen. You guys have legitimately stolen money from many people by banning them and giving no reason. All of your responses are the same copy/paste bullshit of "we don't discuss bans and what I'm telling you doesn't cause bans even though you're all telling me you're banned." Your known issues list does not even include this problem. If ever there was a time for a class action lawsuit to happen, this is it. Screw this garbage response.

Hardware Monitoring Framerate and statistics overlays, such as those provided by EVGA Precision XOC, MSi Afterburner, and Fraps, are not compatible with Destiny 2. That would explain why RTSS isn't working, fortunately there's a built in FPS counter and is also not the reason why those of you were banned, since I'm using MSI Afterburner and RTSS (which doesn't show anything, not even the FPS on my second display which doesn't use the OSD feature).

Thanks for finally acknowledging our posts but you're wrong. I've been banned along with hundreds of other people dying to play your game for 14+ hours and this is how were treated? We demand to be helped

@Cozmo, if this is not the case is there any way for the thousands of us that have been banned to get, at the very least, clarification on why we got banned. The only reason the overlays are believed to be the problem is that there has been no communication and we are left with pure speculation.

Oh finally someone with answers, I thank you greatly, but that still leaves a bunch of upset Destiny 2 buyers who got banned for who knows what at this point, and when is this going to be rectified??

I'm happy knowing that it isn't GeForce Experience, Intel Extreme Tuner, Gigabyte Tuning Engine or Discord causing my ban... but now extra confused why I'm in this situation.

Let the wolves descend, but seriously if not overlays then what? Because we ran the game right at launch, didn't stand on one foot while clicking play with our nose, forgot our ritual sacrifice to the anti cheat gods. Seriously it's radio silence then this tiny tidbit and all it leaves is more questions.

You say that, yet here we all are, banned from playing a game we all REALLY want to play. Thank you for confirming that it is not the overlays that are causing the ban; now we know that it is more likely to be a broken anti-cheat algorithm or something on your end. Any updates you want to make on if any of us that were insta-banned for no reason will get to play the game again, or at all?

I got no problem believing accidental or false bans can happen, but all the same and likewise I am more inclined to believe that most loudest people can also simply be lying and trolling. If you got an issue and you know it's wrong, you know for certain you can rather easily contact and prove them wrong with the matter, and small portion of those people actually care to waste time making a scene out of it. So, here's me providing another argument for the hell of it. Are you trolling, or are you even part of this incident? Some guy asked them to send cheat-logs? No smart developer would send or exactly give the moment of when and what triggered their log for capturing a cheater. It's not their purpose to make it easier to avoid anti-cheat systems. I say, if anyone is making posts to make a scene, then ask them to prove you were even banned and prove you were banned unjustly. Don't care otherwise. If it was wrongful ban, shit happens. Deal with it and discuss it with the company and stop whining.
