They replaced heavy synths with guaranteed ammo on yellow enemies. I don't know why more people don't dump heavy on those enemies, you'll get the ammo back if you pump in as much as you get out. That being said, ammo synths were just fun to have to go kill things with an unneeded amount of firepower in the patrol areas. I would vote for them back if I could.
