Only problem is, that was D1 this is D2. There are no heavy or special weapons in D2, those got replaced with energy and power weapons and those energy and power weapons doesn't possess as much impact as their counterpart (exception are fusion rifle).

I somewhat agree with this guy. Not that I wouldn't use special or heavy during raids, but I liked to experiment with weapons to find out what worked and what didn't. It got tedious using the same weapon load out for every raid run. Or seeing raid posts saying if you don't have "insert gun here" you will be booted. I would run King's Fall and use the No Time To Explain primary on the War Priest and Golgoroth and do more damage than the people that were whining about me not using a black spindle. I find it kind of refreshing not having to go to my menu and use an ammo synth every 5 minutes right now though. I have not run the raid yet and when I do I will probably be missing synths more than the few times that I have.I I think they should be in the game for people that want them. The people that don't want them just don't have to use them.

No primary in the history of Destiny has ever beat a heavy or sniper. I'm sorry but Chaos Dogma was good but I still would kick you if you only used that and not anything else.

You're lucky your raid team made up for your poor play style then, sound like some swell guy to put up with you :)

I've run many as well, all when they were new, and if you told us you weren't using special or heavy you'd be booted in an instant. Anyone else who says otherwise is a liar...

I also never needed synths in D1 and managed to do every raid just fine. Only exception was when I occasionally had a team so bad that we'd be stuck on the same spot for over an hour. Yeah, I got kicked from plenty of random raid groups for saying I didn't bring synths, but any time that happened, I'd always succeed with the next group I joined.
