I think you're in the wrong kind of clan. I have the exact same reasons to not want to play as a fireteam but I joined a clan that has prescheduled events admin-led events that you sign up for. Each event is 2, maybe 3 hrs, maximum and everyone who signed up has to show up on time and stay for the whole event or else they get a strike against them. You can work off a strike but get too many and you're kicked from the clan. I know that sounds little stricter than some people like but, as someone who doesn't have much time to play and has social anxiety, it's great because I can plan when I play to get the most out of my time and mentally prep for it beforehand.
