After spending around 12 hours working on the new Destiny 2 raid my fire-team and I were finally able to kill the final boss, but we all ended up dying at the same moment we defeated the boss. The problem that this post concerns is that after facing and defeating the final raid boss my fire-team and I were unable to respawn to open the chest to get access to our loot. We had one member volunteer to leave and rejoin to pick up the rest of us, but when he spawned in the bosses final move was still in effect and he died after about 2 seconds. While we were able to collect some items from the postmaster (emblems and raid gear) our milestone for finishing the raid had not updated and required that we attempt to finish the raid again. After 12 hours of game play and over 4 years of dedication to this franchise this has left a poor taste in my mouth to complete a raid and feel so unfulfilled.
