Hey guys! I see a lot of posts regarding the progression and how long it can take to max out or even get to the 265 hump so I thought I'd put this out there for everyone. Now I've seen all the videos regarding the Nessus loot cave, and frankly, I find it to be very underwhelming and way to reminiscent of the infinite spawn glitch used to farm upgrade mats in D1. I haven't done any specific timing but from what I've seen and experienced from trying it out is you can average about 3 chests every 2 minutes if you're doing it ok, and about 3 chests a minute if you're absolutely optimized. But talk about super boring. Here's my method; either equip the Twilight Shell or purchase the Titan Scout Report from Cayde and make you're way on over to Titan. With the chest radar active you just run circles around the areas next to the two major even spawns (the walkers by Sloane, and the Hive Ritual room). The map space for these areas itself is small enough that with a specific route you can check all the usual chest spawns with barely any deviation. Additionally if you get the timing down you can usually do more than a couple loops while an event is active and then pop in for the last few moments to collect event loot, you will come across a ton of HPTs to kill for their chest drops. Additionally you can make sure to pick up any of the scavenge parts type patrols that you come across for more even more guaranteed coins. My personal record is about 100 coins, 2 exotic engrams and 4 legendary in an hour. Happy hunting! tldr; Nessus is dumb and boring. For a fun alternative that gives you ALMOST as much loot go to Titan and run around with a scout report/twilight shell. Run in circles while waiting for an event spawn killing everything in your path and collecting chests like a madman. P.S. One note about the Nessus area. I've yet to see a video that actually shows the most optimal route which is to spawn into the planet, run to the room, collect the chest BEFORE you go through the teleporter the first time. Go through the teleporter, run to the end of the hall right to where the zone changes to the Chamber of Sky. Do an immediate 180 and run BACK through the portal you just came through. This allows you to collect the chest twice, then proceed through the route as usual with a minor change of every time you first open the chest and go through the portal, flip a 180 and run back to collect the chest a second time.
