I don't mind being in groups when we are entering an activity (Nightfall or Raid). People are normally somewhat ready to go and if not it will only be a few minutes for everyone to finish swapping out weapons or whatever it is they are doing. For everything else it is better to run solo. It has always been my experience you will spend more time at the Tower or floating in orbit waiting for your fireteam than playing the game.
