Mass effect: andromeda had a 20 hour max demo, game was broken. Destiny one beta showed all content on earth and had moon patrol, too much was shown. I'm fine with showing a taste. If people's only complaint about the game was they wanted more to play, I'd respond with buy the game if you want more.
