Is range on Hand Cannons useless now?
So I was doing some tests in the cosmodrome trying to compare some hand cannons to see which one is the best. And at some point I tried shooting from distance with range perk on and then without the range perk and got the same damage which would mean any range perk is absolutely useless. Did I do something wrong when testing or is this true?

Range is right now the most important thing on HC.Without rifled barrel on you can dismantle the gun or maybe infuse but it is useless.They nerfed the range after AoT by 3 meters but in exchange they removed BLOOM. So in PVP is rifled a must on HC. GOOD LUCK TO ALL HERE AND I HOPE WE MEET ALL IN D2:-)

Handcannons still have very high range in both pvp and PvE.

Did I do something wrong when testing or is this true?[/quote] I solo'd the Nightfall last night using the Fatebringer and within 30 mins to get the Sunrise bounty. Range on Handcannons has improved imo. Some kills I was getting was like that of a Scout Rifle.

6 RisposteWell obviously if you where too close to the target you where within the max dmg zone regardless if the perk was on or not. Or if you where to far and was always outside the guns effective range. As far as I remember, the range stat only affects how far out a gun retains its max effective dmg, so a higher range stat doesn't affect dmg in itself.
