Nonsense. I work full time and have two kids and only ever get 4-5 hours max on the game if I'm very lucky. Usually more like 2 hours.
I've had a great time playing this game and made friends and got stuff done along the way. If a had to duck out of stuff for whatever reason everyone agreed to pick up where we'd left off later when it suited everyone.
Sounds more like you had a shitty clan.

Never had a clan. Never needed one. But because of how bad leveling, rewards, & elitism were in year one, I didn't bother with endgame content more than a few times before I was utterly disenfranchised by it. Things are definitely better now. End of story.
