I've been playing since the first queens wrath (the one a few weeks after launch). I understand the frustration that people have but to say that year one was this games peak is a bit of a stretch to me. Yeah I was upset when my all of my VOG weapons became obsolete, but by the end of year one I was soloing nightfalls in under 30 mins (and I'm a filthy filthy casual). I didn't know a thing about destiny before I bought it on a whim, the selling point for me was that it was a game that was supposed to evolve and change over a long time span, which is exactly what it did. Personally I enjoyed the challenge of reaching the level of OP I was by the end of year one, over and over again.
