3oC ruined most the fun for me tbh.
I miss grinding for exotics week after week, day after day doing strikes and raids and when that exotic finally dropped you were ecstatic. 3oC took a lot of that joy away, guaranteed exotic every 7games for which used to take weeks sometimes months of grinding.
I hope 3oC don't return in Destiny2

I agree, but for different reasons. When Tuesday hit we did our weekly activities and got several chances at getting exotics. Several hours set aside for Tuesday. Easy enough. We then did whatever we wanted. 3oC and certain other incentives had people playing repetitive activities all day long. Honestly it reminded me of my time in Ultima Online. Log on and go to my mountain to click away for what ended up being three or four months.

We were all excited for 3oC at first, but I think the consensus is that they were a bad thing for the long-term health of the game. Probably another factor in Bungie deciding it was best to just hit the reset button.

I hope so too. I also hope the whole leaving content behind doesn't continue
