I have been here since the beginning too and after HoW I was very pumped for Y2. They had everything in a great place in my opinion during the end of Y1 and they totally shat the bed with Y2. Boredom had an exact sum total of 0 to do with it. I would have kept playing fanatically like in Y1 had they not made some of the decisions they made.
