Personally since the last patch its way more enjoyable now.
Loot just drops from everything.
World Tiers cause enimies to level based on your gear score.
Survival is allot of fun
Dark Zone is no longer a requirement for the best gear.

Jumped on it last night for the first time in months only had 15 minutes to spare so I pumped it up a tier and got a supply drop just around the corner from the safe house I was at so went and had a look took out the crew of 31s and boom a weapon and 2 armor pieces all higher than I was, all within the first 10 minutes felt fresh wish I could have played longer, unfortunately work is a necessity lol.

Yup, big improvement which makes the game fun and the challenges worth it.

Indeed jumped from GS 160 to 178 last night in about an hour, obtained probably 6 gear set items and multiple high ends at 182 level , bumping my max weapon dps potential up over the 200,000 mark and bumped world tier up to level 3.
