Black Spindle or Ex Machina?
So far I've used both but haven't had any real time to break down the damage or dps capabilities of both. Which is better in your opinion? Does spindle deserve my exotic slot? Specifically for the raid. Is there anything better as a special weapon that I don't know about?

Technically no sniper can top Spindle in dps. However, Ex Machina and the vendor Event Horizon are close enough to warrant using an exotic heavy like Gjallarhorn or Sleeper for the damage boost on Vosik in particular, or a sword for the captains on Vosik/Aksis. Also, nothing can compete with Dark Drinker for dps on Aksis himself. I generally run Event Horizon with Gjallarhorn or Dark Drinker depending on the encounter.

2 RisposteI think the base rule for the spindle is if you can land all those headshots consistently, it's worth using as your weapon for boss dps.

4 RisposteI know that quite a few people dislike Datto, but he made a decent video going over the damage for the spindle vs the devils dawn vs event horizon in a comparison. unfortunately he didnt go over the ex machina but overall it was black spindle which came out on top, follow by event horizon then devils dawn
