I don't do the crouch walk, but I have really good success with going into the Warrens, then turning around immediately and going back into the forge. Probably about 60% of the time, I end up joining someone's in-progress forge run.
Just putting it out there for others to see/try.

Agree, I know the issue was there for the rocket yard when trying to kill Stirok what a long drawn out pain that was lol... Trying to find folk there. I think more should be done for the complete solo players and hopefully these comments will help... But seriously go right down into the Warren's and get in a game every single time.. Rural
